STORY,

NOSTALGIA
I'm
Leo,
I’m Leonardo, a South American filmmaker, father, and believer in honest storytelling. I met my wife and got married here in Scotland, and before I knew it, I was home.
Recently becoming a father taught me just how fast life moves. Moments matter differently now. Suddenly, films aren’t just a job. They’re how we hold onto what matters.
After a decade of filmmaking, I’ve learned that anyone can press record, but it takes care and attention to truly see people, understand who they are, and translate that honestly into film.
One day you’ll sit down, maybe next year, maybe decades from now, and I want you to recognise yourselves instantly. I want you to feel the laughter, quiet moments, and warmth of that day exactly as they were. That’s why I do this.

SOME OF THE PLACES THAT SHAPED THESE FILMS

MY PHILOSOPHY
Instead of directing, I stay close to the rhythm of the day. The focus is always on story, light, movement and connection. Not just "coverage", but something with intention. I work with a minimal setup, so you can stay present, and the film can reflect things as they really were.
I’m drawn to real emotion, natural light, and the way people interact. I pay attention to how a place feels, how time passes, and the small moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. The result is a film that feels honest and considered. Something you’ll want to return to.
THE WAY I CHOOSE TO SEE WEDDINGS

NOSTALGIA
1# COUPLE'S FAVORITE
My couples love the nostalgic feel of Super8 and VHS. There’s a texture to them, something raw and nostalgic that modern cameras just can’t replicate.
What I especially love is how people react when they see one of these cameras. They light up, they lean in, and they become more themselves.

CINEMATIC STILLS
HIGH RESOLUTION FRAMES FROM YOUR WEDDING FILM
Some moments work beautifully as both moving image and still photograph.
Cinematic Stills are high resolution frames taken directly from your film, with the same colour, texture and feel. They are for couples who care first about the film, but still want a small, carefully chosen set of images to print, frame, or share.
I go through your finished film, select the frames that hold the most weight, and prepare them as individual stills. You receive a simple gallery of honest, high resolution images that sit naturally alongside your wedding photographs, or stand on their own.
A glimpse into your wedding, delivered just days after the celebration. It’s a first taste of your memories, perfect for sharing with friends and family, or reliving quietly together.

SARAH RAE
"We both cried"
"Our highlights reel is stunning. The way it's been edited, together with the background music and use of snippets from our ceremony and the speeches is just beautiful. It's a beautiful keepsake we will watch over and over again, and it's so lovely to be able to share with friends and family, particularly for those who were unable to join us on the day, so they can get a small idea of what it was like."

Frequently Asked Questions
When will I receive my wedding film?
Your film is usually ready within 90 days, and the wedding shorts arrive within the first two weeks. If you need everything faster, there’s an express option that delivers the full film in four weeks.
Can I upgrade my package after booking?
Yes. Most upgrades can be added later on, even after the wedding. The only exceptions are add-ons such as Super 8, VHS, aerial cinematography and an additional cinematographer. Those need to be confirmed in advance so I can book the right people, secure permissions, and order film stock.
Do I need an additional cinematographer?
One cinematographer is enough to tell the story, and that’s the starting point for most weddings. I do, however, recommend adding a second for anything more than a small or simple day. It allows us to cover both of you getting ready, reactions during the ceremony, and things happening in different places at the same time. It also gives more room for the small, quiet details while I stay with the main moments. If your wedding is very simple or everything happens in one place, I can still film solo, and once I know more about your plans, I’ll be honest about whether a second cinematographer would genuinely add something to your film.
Do you provide insurance documents for venues?
Yes. I carry public liability insurance, along with PAT-testing certificates. Once your booking is confirmed, I can send them directly to you or your venue coordinator.
Can I suggest my own music for the film?
Not directly. All films are edited with licensed tracks so they can be shared legally and without issues. Music plays a key role in shaping the tone of the film, and I select each piece carefully to reflect your day. If it’s something you care a lot about, I’m happy to involve you in that part of the process, we can talk through your style and find the right direction together.
How do I receive my film and footage?
All films and edits are delivered online through a private gallery, where you can stream, download, and share everything easily. If you’ve chosen raw footage, you can receive it either as a download link or on an SSD sent by post. Any selected physical keepsakes, like the Super 8 film reel or VHS tape, are also posted to you.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I’m based in Scotland, but I regularly film across the rest of the UK, and further afield. If you’re planning a destination wedding, I’ll create a custom quote based on your location and plans. Just send me the details, and we’ll take it from there.
